Assertive Communication

Training program

(in person)

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At Present Perfect, we believe that the most effective and healthy form of communication is assertive communication. Being assertive is the ability to put forward your ideas in an appropriate, respectful way, while developing your self-confidence. In other words: "If you don't take a stand, you don't stand a chance...".

The foundations of effective communication begin with self-awareness. It is about being fully aware of one's own character, feelings, motivations and desires in order to better develop and improve oneself.

Being assertive does not mean being aggressive. Assertiveness is a personal skill that can be learned and developed through practice and self-reflection. Being assertive is having the ability to act in harmony with one's own values without needing to attack or intimidate others.

During the training, each participant will:

  • Build self-confidence like a muscle—strong, steady, and adaptable.

  • Decode different communication styles to navigate conversations with ease.

  • Discover your unique communication profile and how to leverage it.

  • Know if and when to stand firm and how to do it with impact.

  • Handle tough people and tricky situations with confidence and composure.

  • Say “no” with clarity and positivity—without guilt or friction.

  • Turn conflict into constructive dialogue, not confrontation.

  • Elevate your professional presence and make your voice count

TARGET AUDIENCE

Employees looking to work on their interpersonal communication in the workplace (and not only...!)

DURATION OF TRAINING AND ORGANIZATIONAL ARRANGEMENTS —

In person

The total duration of the training is 8 hours with a Present Perfect expert coach.

The training dates are chosen in collaboration with the client, depending on their availability. The schedules are fixed for group training.

As soon as the dates are set, our clients are invited to book the chosen slots in the participants' calendar and to send us their email address. Upon receipt, we send each person their invitation email.

In person, the training takes place at the client's premises, who is responsible for the proper organization of the training in advance, with a view to welcoming the participants. He ensures that the equipment necessary for the proper conduct of the training is provided (broadcast screen, HDMI cable, flipchart, etc.).

We invite our customers who are unable to host the training at home to contact us; alternative solutions are possible.

If the training takes place outside Paris, a trainer travel fee is applicable.
